"It has always been my passion to create function out of beauty," says Joke Roos. In her world she finds contentment in finding solutions that are functional, enchance the quality of life and the culture of people, and are aesthetically attractive. She thinks when those elements are combined, the gratifying feeling goes way beyond. "Having the honour to work on some really challenging projects, I am rest assurethat my heart belongs to interior design," she reveals. As alumni of Parahyangan University in Architecture major, Joke Roos made her ideal dream came true when she co-founded Studio Air Putih with her husband, fellow architect Denny Gondo. She validates her expertise in Maison 12 Suite Apartment project alongside Agam Riadi, Anita Boentarman, Shirley Gouw, and Vivianne faye. For the three-bedroom apartment unit, she confess that her part in designing the kitchen and dining room to be a slight departure from her signature style. "I put two quite unique styles together, ethnic Javanese and Mid Century," she continues. The fusion is served in a modern and unpretentious packaging. Nevertheless, she maintains her design character which pinpoint elegant and timeless classic details.

Sammy Hendramianto S. set his course in interior design when he decided to study the subject at Bandung Institute of Technology. Born in Bogor, Sammy had extensive career as Senior Associate im Grahacipta Hadiprana where he designed a series of luxurious homes, restaurants offices as well as five star hotels that include the renovation projects at Grand Hyatt Jakarta, Horizon Hanoi and Sanur Beach Bali. His works have been exhibited at Elite Grahacipta, Gelar Batik Nusantara, Hadiprana Gallery's Art of Table Setting, Grand Indonesia's Treasure of Indonesia and Ritz Carlton Jakarta Ball Room's Pesta Tenun. He is now focusing in running his design firm, SHS Associates. "Me, Prasetio Budhi, Roland Adam, and Yuni Jie design a two-bedroom apartment unit. Our concept is a journey to Borneo which will be applied across the bedroom, bathroom and wardrobe areas," he explains. A contrast to the previous The Colours of Indonesia, this time Sammy exercises more Modern style in his work. Ethnic details will be visualised only to accessorise. Still, the atmosphere of The Colours of Indonesia theme will be apparent in the design concept.

Prasetio Budhi's portofolio starts with a degree in Interior Design from Academy of Arts University, San Fransisco, USA. Followed by a career in several prestigious design consultants in Indonesia, his experience mould his design character and catapulted his confidence to establish PlusDesign Interior Design Company in 2003. With perseverance and skilfulness as his strong suits when it comes to details, Prasetio Budhi has landed high-class projects over the years. From residential, retail to commercial his list of achievement goes on with accolades such as The Best Work in Interior Design among others. The Colours of Indonesia challenges Prasetio to design a two-bedroom apartment unit with Roland Adam, Sammy Hendramianto, and Yuni Jie. Taking central Indonesia as their home inspiration in Maison 12 Suite Apartment, the four of them employ monochromatic palette of black and white and Modern Eclectic theme. The use of wood accents as supporting materials add to the dynamic and appeal of their design play.

His experience in working for retail and home accessories enticed him to dive deeper into the world of interior design. Enough so he changed his course to become an interior designer and started his own business, Goodlife Interior. As alumni to Sahid University Jakarta and Hendon College London, his many touches on different residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Roland is a multifaceted talent, he is also known as a wedding conceptor, event organiser, and a consultant in business development, visual merchandising, fashion, and magazine. ​ "This year my project is a two-bedroom apartment that I completed together with several of my ID12 peers. Our unit at Maison 12 Suite Apartment theme is inspired by Borneo," explains the man who has several solo exhibitions of black and white photography under his belt. Roland claims his work for The Colours of Indonesia this year to imply a journey to Borneo. He is trusted to design a slightly "dark" family room. "Exotic details in deep tones, like Midnight in Borneo!" He answers in full confidence.

Educated at Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle, and Pratt Institute, New York, Yuni Jie is an acclaimed Indonesian interior and product designer, celebrated for her casual and elegant style. Yuni has earned multiple honours, including a finalist in the international Young Creative Entrepreneur of the Year award held by British Council, style icon for Elle Decor Indonesia and named Woman of the Year 2016 by Herworld magazine and Indonesia Beautiful Woman 2018 by High End Magazine. Aside from her career as a designer and running Jie Design, Yuni co-founded One Fine Sky, a charity organisation focusing on empowering children to continue their education. Yuni Jie's design is recognised for her timeless design philosophy. Her approach to design transcends trends and the current style. She believes in a modern spirit where the essence of function and precision speaks for itself. This very philosophy is applied when designing a master suite for Maison 12 project. With Roland Adam, Prasetio Budhi, and Sammy Hendramianto S., by her side, Yuni uses modern design concept with touches with touches and inspiration drawn from local sensibility. "For this exhibition, I'm putting forward my signature casual-elegance style," Yuni expresses. Revolving around the mutually agreed concept, The Mystical Borneo, Yuni enthrones Borneo as her source of ethnic inspiration for the two-bedroom apartment show unit. A special collaboration with artist Sandy Karman yields a Customised carpet using characteristic Borneo pattern which also applied to several panels. Neutral earth tone colours are splashed over various materials, from wood to marble, breathing elegance in the comfort of a warm space.

The Colours of Indonesia 2018 showcasing "Maison 12 Suite Apartment" as a concept of an elegant residence with the high-end details supported. It's a world-class collaboration where simplicity and modernity blend flawlessly through a variety of spaces that have held on September 14th to 23rd, 2018, at Senayan City. For Vivianne Faye, spontaneity is often the fuel in creating an original, interesting design that radiates with experimentak mood and drama. Design is a manifestation of self expressions for this interior designer whose career span over 25 years. To the Design and Graphic Art California State University of Fresno, USA, alumni, a design must possesses a personal touch. A sense of balance. A principle reflected throughout her creations. ​ Her experience in working with a leading interior design firm in USA reminds her not to be fixated on a single design style. Because to Vivianne, interior design should be able to transcend the evolution of history into the future. Alongside Agam Riadi, Anita Boentarman, Joke Roos and Shirley, she visualises her vision onto a three-bedroom apartment unit. All the involved designers in this unit-apartment project agreed to use Classic and a touch of Mid Century as the main concept. Taking this as the reference, Vivianne delivers the style through several strong colours, most of them are dominated in green palettes, such as emerald. She also elevates the patterns of batik Garutan at this second-bedroom of the unit apartment. Her mastery in juxtaposing materials and colours ends in a harmonious balance. A tribute to glamour.

Fagetti group in collaboration with Indonesia's famous interior designers, bring the forest of stone ambience to the "Stone Forest"exhibition, held on 17-21 May 2017 in ICE BSD City Hall 8-9. "Stone Forest" is combining two synergised concepts of stone and forest. The former implies solidity that could actually be as soft, even liquid as water. ​ Fagetti takes the opportunity to display its inventions, ideas, and latest fabrication for stones. "Stone Forest" unfolds new materials and solution for each stone. Together with Alex Bayusaputro, Hadi Komara, and Amalya Hasibuan, the exhibition features their phenomenal works with stone and forest as their main inspiration. Fagetti Group and Bika also feature their special collaboration to complement the concept. ​ Alex Bayusaputro, principal architect from The Genius Loci, displays his works that tells the beauty of stone and their special characteristics. Granite, Marble, Onyx, among many others, does not look as solid with his touch. "The concept of combining stone with forest to represent that stone is not as hard as it seems. It can be soft like fabric and liquid like water. The forest symbolises the softer side of the stone," Alex commented on his work.
